Meet Dr. Laraib Safeer, MD

Dr. Safeer spent her early years in Brooklyn, NY, where her father completed his residency training. After moving to South Texas as a young child, she decided to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in medicine.

She attended the University of Texas–Pan American, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with highest honors. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and stayed on to complete a year in internal medicine before moving to Pennsylvania for her dermatology residency at St. Luke’s University in Bethlehem.

Dr. Safeer is board certified in dermatology and in Mohs micrographic surgery. She enjoys all aspects of dermatology – medical, surgical, and cosmetic – and loves caring for patients of all ages, from children to adults.

Outside of work, Dr. Safeer enjoys watercolor painting, spending time with her family, and relaxing with her cat, Boo. She’s excited to be back in Houston and to serve the community she calls home.
