Anita Ishaq-Juarez is a Board Certified Physician Assistant accredited by the NCCPA. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. After her matriculation she became an educator and taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the High School level for 6 years. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in North Carolina. After completion of her Master’s Program she completed a Clinical Dermatology Internship in Hawaii where she gained experience in the various aspects of medical dermatology and continued to practice there for the past 3 years. She treated and managed various dermatological diseases such as skin cancers, chronic skin disease, acute skin problems and benign growths. She also became an active member of Hawaii Dermatology Society and contributed to monthly case studies that involved multiple cases from the entire state. She is also trained in various cosmetic procedures such as injecting neuro-modulators, fillers and using various modalities such as use of topical medication, cosmeceuticals, micro needling and lasers for skin rejuvenation and treatment of various skin conditions.
As a former educator, she brings her prior experiences into her practice of dermatology by engaging her patients to become active participants in their own care. This is done by discussing the appropriate diagnosis, explaining the medical condition and treatment options openly with the patient to directly involve them in their care to help them gain a better understanding to achieve better and lasting outcomes.
Anita is originally from Houston, TX and has recently moved back from touring around the globe with her husband as a military spouse. She is looking forward to settling down in her hometown and giving back to the community she was raised in. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking spending time with family and taking golf lessons to improve her game.
She recently moved She is also a former educator with 6 years of experience and uses this experience into her medical philosophy of making her patients active participants in their medical care. She strives to help her patients gain understanding of their conditions, treatments and involve them directly in their individualized care plan in order to achieve better outcomes and satisfaction.
Anita is originally from Houston, Texas and recently moved from North Carolina with her husband who is a Physician Assistant for the U.S Army. She enjoys spending her free time with her family exploring the island and the many treasures it has to offer.
