How Our Mohs Surgery Works

- First, we numbed the treatment area with a local anesthetic.
- Then, we used a scalpel to remove the visible cancerous tissue.
- Next, we examined the margins of the removed tissue with a microscope to check for any remaining cancer cells. If any were found, we would remove more tissue from the surrounding area and repeat the process until all of the cancerous tissue was gone.
- Finally, we repaired the wound with stitches or skin grafts as needed.
